THE BULL SHEET
PUBLISHED  SIMULTANEOUSLY  IN  ‘BULLTOWN’  &  ‘COWVILLE’  &  ‘WEB’

The Ramgarh Training Center was established in late June of 1942 to train and equip the Chinese Army in India.  American experts served as instructors in various aspects of warfare.  The Special Service Office produced a newspaper to keep the Americans informed and entertained.  That newspaper, The Bull Sheet, was first published in September of 1942, in "Bulltown" (the American camp) and "Cowville" (the British camp in nearby Ranchi).

The issues shown here are apparently complimentary copies and have had stripes over-printed at the bottom of the first page. In some cases the text underneath the over-printing was legible and has been re-entered on the page, eliminating the bars.  A few issues have pages missing from the original and the date in the menu is marked with * to indicate this.  Click on the date of the issue to view it in full window width.

The original issues were shared by CBI Veteran Chuck Louis, who spent two and a half years at Ramgarh Training Center as an M.P. with the 118th Military Police Co.  Additional issues were provided by Paul Shindelar, Graham Thompson, Jim Golub of behalf of his father V. James Golub,Colleen Alles of the Grand Rapids Public Library, and Phil Papadakis. Many thanks to them for helping to bring this piece of CBI history to the Internet.
